To keep your device safe during shipping, it’s important to pack it securely. Here’s how:

• Wrap your device in bubble wrap, foam, or anti-static material if available.

• Place it in a sturdy box that’s about twice the size of the device, with enough padding to prevent any movement during transit.

• For internal hard drives, be sure to remove the drive from your laptop or desktop before packing.

• For small items like USB drives, SD cards, or smartphones, place them in a protective envelope before wrapping and boxing.

• Shipping multiple drives? Either box them separately or make sure they’re individually wrapped and cushioned so they don’t touch.

The better your device is protected, the higher the chance of a successful recovery.

Your data recovery services pricing includes any spare parts that may be needed, labor, a new device or service to provide you with your data, return shipping, and any other cost incurred in recovering your data and providing you with access. However, this does not include the outbound shipping cost of shipping your media to our facility.

As long as you have the password for the encrypted drive, we will be able to access the drive to recover the data.  Unfortunately, without the password, we cannot access the data.

Please do not include the password for the encrypted drive in the package you send to us. You can communicate the password to us either on the submission form or email it to us separately at info@atpdataservices, along with your case information.

It takes an estimated 25 business days from the time we receive your device at our facility till the time we complete your data recovery service. 

If your data is not recoverable, we will return the original device to you.  In this scenario, please note that your device will not include its original enclosure and accessories.  In addition, we will refund you the entire data recovery services fee.
